Household Budget, by Andrea Phaneuf (Sole Proprietor), watches your bank's transaction alerts, matches each purchase to a category automatically, and sends a push notification with what's left to spend — no spreadsheet, no manual entry.
Log In to Your DashboardHow it works
1. A bank transaction alert email arrives and is parsed automatically.
2. The purchase is matched to a budget category (learned from past purchases).
3. You get a notification like "Logged to Groceries — $42.10 at Trader Joe's. $187.32 left this month."
Unrecognized purchases open the dashboard with the amount and merchant already filled in — just pick a
category and tap Log.
Built for households
Household Budget started as a private tool for a single household and is being built out to support more account holders over time — each with their own device notifications, their own alerts, and a shared view of the family's budget and net worth on one dashboard.
Notifications
Account holders enable push notifications from the dashboard (installed to the home screen on iOS, or directly in the browser on Android/desktop). Notification frequency varies with spending activity. You can disable notifications at any time from your device or browser settings.
